BB cream?

Please can I get some of your collective wisdom? I’m early 40s with skin that doesn’t know if it’s sensitive, aging or having teen flashbacks. I have recently discovered better skincare (a few clarins bits, but keeping my Clinique moisture surge). For makeup I have been trying a few options.

I have dark circles and have always used the Clinique stuff for that, but have never settled on a foundation or other base type layer. Recently I have been using L’Oréal c’est magique bb cream, which seemed to be ok, not too much coverage but just enough to make me feel ok.

Any recommendations? I’m definitely not wanting a really polished look, more just to slightly smooth and even the colour out a bit. I’m also not looking to take out another mortgage…

when you say dark circles do you mean under your eyes? I used to use cerave eye cream and Nars concealer (sorry, I know it’s spendy!). Bb unfortunately I find to be personal to people- mn always recommend it cosmetics or Erborian but I don’t get on with either of these, L’Oréal, rimmel, maybelline or le Roche posay. Have tried and loved clarins, Clinique and Estée Lauder but I always use a primer with them

Thanks @Tryingatleast. Yes, I get under eye dark circles. I might give clarins a go for the bb creams, given I’ve liked other things
