Speaking of Prince Michael of Kent, anyone watching his daughter in law, Sophie Winkleman (half sister of Claudia) on BBC 1’s Wild Cherry ?

Yes, I saw that.
I thought her, Frederick and the daughters looked lovely at the service.

Oh wow, yes to pp saying Sarah Chatto so looks like Margaret now!
Love Helen's green leather skirt and her velvet blazer.
If I could dress Kate, I would put her in a dark claret or darkest green velvet trouser suit. I think she'd look fab in that.

Oh yes Kate would really suit that.

CurlewKate · 07/12/2025 19:04

I like the PofW in casual clothes best-the things she wore on that trip to Scotland were lovely. It’s sad, because I love glamour and sparkle1!

Choux · 07/12/2025 19:36

We dropped off the pace of Maxima’s visit to Suriname. She wore 9 outfits in total and here are the 4 we haven’t shared here. She looks amazing in the green sari style evening dress but the brown dress with the striking hat seems all wrong for a tropical country and the hat is more suited to Ascot Ladies Day.

The green sari dress is absolutely gorgeous, and I love her necklace. I'm less keen on the other outfits - the dark dress with the ankle strap shoes isn't great, either fit or style. The Zimmermann dress is ok, but Max often wears dresses on the knee which isn't always a flattering length. It's a nice colour, though.

Yes! Ohhh I love a velvet suit.

Catherine, please take inspiration from Mary and Marie of Denmark on this one!

Absolutely love Max in the sari. Just gorgeous.

Pallisers · 07/12/2025 23:14

Max in the sari dress is absolutely fantastic. It also hits her feet just right. Gorgeous. Her brown dress isn't great - but the photo could be an unflattering angle too.

I agree with @CurlewKate that Catherine is best and most comfortable in casual clothes - although she has produced - and still produces - some absolutely spectacular evening looks - that dress in LA very early on in their marriage - gorgeous. Where I find her a bit dull is in the day outfits/non fancy occasions - coat dresses and trouser suits. Still I suppose those are her work clothes.

She hasn't worn a coat dress for some time, to be fair. Trouser suits, dresses or coats, usually.
I agree that some of her evening looks have been stunning.

Sophie always looks gorgeous imo.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco have released their official 2025 Christmas greeting card, accompanied by the message: 'The Princely Family is pleased to share their greeting card with you.'

Princess Charlene looks lovely - I hope she is truly content and over her past troubles. Love the little dog.

As regards the greeting “The Princely Family is pleased to share their greeting card with you” I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that it is a formal Monagesque thing. But I can imagine the response if certain members of our own dear Royal Family sent out cards like that! 😅😂

Maireas · 08/12/2025 08:19

That's a gorgeous picture - they all look lovely. I see Gabriella has given up the auto hairdressing 😄

And their Christmas card looks Christmassy! I don't really understand the cards which have pictures relating to a completely different season being used as Christmas cards - as lovely as some of the pictures are.

Maireas · 08/12/2025 09:05

Yes, I definitely like a festive look. 🎄

That’s a rather odd message from the Monaco RF.
Lost in translation I presume.

A small treat for a Monday morning see here

its a nice article from the Telegraph for this who are wary about links 😆

Maireas · 08/12/2025 09:40

More Christmas card fun to come, I'm guessing!
We're on P38, so new thread name suggestions, please!

Please not green coats again. I do like the hats and boots at this time of year though.

Yes it is lovely and Christmassy. Gabriella is like the Christmas fairy in that lovely sparkly dress and silver shoes - she really makes the picture!
