Teeth advice

Hi
Sorry to be asking this but it’s really bothering me .

I am 53 and always had nice teeth due to othordontal work in my childhood and early teens . I whitened them as I got older too.

Always received compliments on them . Moving on in years noticed not as nice likely just age etc and in my day of othordontic work the teeth were not retained .

Move on to about 2 years ago I noticed when I took a video of myself ( fixing make up etc ) my teeth looked substantially crooked but when I flipped the camera they look ok and fine in pictures with some obvious aging .

Spoke with my dentist and he said any alignment issue is outwith himself it would be othordontic etc

I contacted a specialist dentist a few years back who suggested Invisalign and tbh at this time I could not really afford it .

Moving on to now I have the funds and this time I saw a othordontist and they said the work was minor but I will likely go for braces or Invisalign but not sure as yet .

I am deciding .

However, I still only see the fault on camera and not so much on photography.

Concerned a lot of this image is with me . I will also need top and bottom fixed to ensure bite is even .

Anyone?

Is an i phone video my real self or if I flip the image real ( it looks ok then ) my real self ?

Sorry family are limited and my partner can’t see an issue but I do on camera

What does it look like in a normal mirror?

I suppose only you can decide whether the issue bothers you enough to fix. I had Invisalign - my teeth were very visibly overcrowded but someone else with my teeth may not have cared. But it bothered me enough to fix it.

ShesTheAlbatross Thank you

I only see it on video and that image is enough for me but not in the mirror . Bit concerned it’s a lot of money if the image isn’t accurate. Sorry if I sound bonkers

Sounds quite similar to me. I always felt there was a bit of an issue with my teeth - I doubt if anyone really noticed, but I saw it in photos (loads of orthodontic work as a kid). I had Invisalign a few years ago and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. You won’t regret it op.
