I've been getting ads in Instagram for The Set and have had a look and quite like the look of some of their tops and like the fact that they do sets without one of the tops having a print/image on. Just plain colours or stripes.

But I've literally never heard of them until the last month or so. Has anybody bought from them and what were their clothes like. I'm sick to death of t shirts that are paper thin or have a load of polyester in them. The set tops seem to be cotton with some viscose and elastane.

(Oh I've just looked at more info and they're part of next)

I have got some v neck viscose fine knit jumpers (fine, nothing special) and some wide legged joggers (wear them to death as wfh bottoms).

I wouldn’t re buy the jumpers but the joggers are fine for what I need them for - I would wear them to Tesco at a push if I was going no where else. otherwise they are warm house trousers, mega comfy and go through the tumble drier fine. Bobble a bit at the top of my legs but that’s a me thing (rugby player thighs). My annoyance is that they don’t come in lengths and I’m short so they are a tiny bit long.

Thanks, I get bobbling too and have generous thighs. The fine knit jumpers were one of the things I was considering as a smarter alternative to t shirts for work. I've literally not worn joggers since I was a kid but maybe need to reconsider as my legs are too cold when WFH in dress and tights

I needed a few staples so bought a few of these sets. The T shirts are lovely, they are really thick cotton with longer sleeves and have washed amazing. The fine knit jumpers have been washed and worn a few times, no bobbling on mine yet and also washed well. The ribbed long sleeve t shirts are nice and thick but a bit short on me (long torsoed) so they ride up a bit, probably should have sized up in them. Vests are a nice material again and I only wear them under the jumpers so they are basic but do the job. I would say for affordable basics they are pretty good, I’ve been happy with everything so far.

Yes, it’s one of Next’s brands. I have a pack of 3 ribbed V Neck T shirts which I think are pretty decent quality for the price, and strangely, they are better quality than a similar style T shirt I bought from NeXT’s normal range a couple of years back. The sizing is a bit of a problem though, many things are dual sizing, sized as 12-14, 16-18 which isn’t so good for me as I’m a 14-16 so tend to find one size a bit small and the next too large. The T shirts I have fit me very well but other things I’ve had to return as they were huge. And trousers only come in one length, and that’s to fit someone a lot taller than me!

The t-shirts are fine, I've bought a few of them.

Dd has the ribbed tshirts they wash really well.
I have the cardigans and vests which are great for everyday wear.
If you look on the clearance section of next they sometimes have them on there (worth keeping a look out).
