I can safely say I can mark myself as "safe from" the latest Cult Beauty edits (and a few previous ones!) for now, nothing is them excites me even remotely, phew! 😌

On a slightly different note - has anyone ordered from LF or ASOS during the BF onslaught of offers and had their orders despatched already? They both keep sending the "there's been a delay in despatching your order" emails, and I'm getting a bit anxious they'll try and cancel/refund?

No great deal to report but I did want to give a shout out for some great customer service from Medik8 - basically Royal Mail have lost 2 of my 3 Black Friday orders, so I have no parcels from space NK and medik8. Anyway Medik8 have been great, I called and left a message and they rang me back within an hour and have placed a new order on my behalf and shipped it already, plus the guy on the phone was really nice. I can only hope Space NK will be as efficient and helpful but recent experience suggests this is unlikely - they recently kept me out of pocket for 6 weeks when RM attempted delivery to the wrong place repeatedly and then returned it to them ( very, very slowly)
No idea what the sudden issue is from Royal Mail - it's a standard front door with the correct number displayed clearly and I've not had any significant issues over the last 10 years till now.

I've had that today from CB. Ordered a make up brush on their Cyber deal. Half expecting it to be cancelled in a few days which wouldn't be the worst thing - I didn't need another brush.

Also not buying any of the edits. I've decided to start my low buy 2026 from now seeing as I'm opening advents every day. Wish me luck!!! 😂

I probably should also stop myself from buying anything, as I also don't need anything. I'm just a sucker for a bargain 🙈🤣 why am I even considering it when I keep saying how overwhelmed I am with the amount of stuff I've recently bought and have no space for? 🤯

Think we should start a "All things beauty no buy/low buy" now and don't wait til January!

I intend to make good use of the empties thread. I like having the chat thread and posting edits and deals for other people. Not everyone will have been as ridiculous as me in the last 12 months. Next year is a use it up year. I'm planning to chat about stuff but not buy much of it.

I won't stick to a complete no buy so I'm thinking of setting a budget. Maybe £100 per month and any skincare, haircare, perfume etc. purchases have to come under that. Gives me a bit of leeway to repurchase faves and have the odd new thing but it's not so much that I'll be bringing in more than I use.

In theory, in my head, this works. 😬

My own rules will be to use what I can and allow myself repurchase when I run out of a product and don’t have a suitable item to do the same job…

eg, I’ve got a couple of night retinols in my stash, but don’t have a day serum in the wings.

Ideally, every single cosmetics and skincare retailer will decide to make their products the least shiny as possible next year. No new magical ingredients, no nice packaging. All retailers will hide their wares in closed cupboards, like cigarettes and tobacco. Ooh, warming to my theme, perhaps the products could show brutal images of empty bank accounts, people crying over empty wallets, maybe that meme of the woman pointing at the cat and the cat is just about to apply lipstick.
I don't think I'm asking for the world here.

This sounds like an excellent idea. Not sure if I can hold off of purchases until 2029 though. 🫣

This is sort of what I'm thinking. If I already have something that fits then I have to use that first. I may use the Xmas break to create a spreadsheet and mortify myself into not buying anything else.

@JPMJuliz - I have had the same thing from LF and CB. I hope LF don’t cancel because I go actually need the EL eye serum as I have run out. There’s a new one somewhere in my DIY calendar but I need it NOW 😹😹😹

My CB order is on it's way now so seems it was just a delay. Probably due to volume of orders.

Both my LF and ASOS are delayed too!

My cult beauty order got ruined when a load of parcels were left out in the rain at the delivery depot and got drenched. The Evri delivery driver told me about it when he was delivering several of my other parcels (oops). It took a few days but CB just cancelled the order today. Just in time because it was Elemis I'd ordered and their 30% off ends today. I had used £10 credit for my CB order so I'm waiting to see how much they refund me

Also good news for my bank balance, because I'd topped up the Elemis with two other things that I really didn't need, and the order being cancelled was the incentive I needed not to rebuy! I like how a lot of us are in the same mindset now 😂

These edits are like buses. Thankfully none interest me.x

My LF order was dispatched today apparently, I half expected it would be cancelled too

Escentuals cancelled part of my order as apparently oos. Gutted. Givenchy loose powder, the 4 colours. Have new stock but now fullnprice. Id have ordered the mini ball pot if id known. 🙄😪

Anyone who has ordered the cult beauty fragrance stockings, don't hold your breath waiting for them to arrive. Ordered 2 on Monday still not despatched so I don't know if they have run out or something. Maybe just a delay due to BF?

Sucker for mystery boxes. Got the OK one, huge swing and a miss for me sadly. I'm a bit spoilt with advents at the mo. Got the Oh my cream mystery box coming today so quite excited for that one.
