I'd already bought a couple of the CB edits but have 4 in my basket at the moment, I really like the EGF serum and use it a lot, the other edits all have stuff in I know I will use - I get through a lot of serums and moisturisers. So I can kind of justify it but its another £200!

OvaHere · 23/11/2025 12:32

Quick Aldi trip this morning. They looked to have quite a bit of new beauty stuff. I didn't spend a lot of time looking because the store was mental and the poor staff trying to unload tons of stuff.

Found the eye patches. 2.99 a tub so got one of each. I spotted some Lacura beauty sponges. These are my fave one so I bought 2 packs. I can probably chuck out some of my older tatty ones now.

@OvaHere Oh interested in the eye gels! Might pop in my Aldi tomorrow and have a look. The beauty section in my Aldi always looks ransacked.

Ordered the Ouai St Bartz body cream on CB. Didnt realise i had a £5 credit, so even better. Now holding off until the end of the week🙈

IlovePond · 23/11/2025 13:26

Hi,

I tried my £5 CB voucher again - it seems to work on baskets over £50 but I don’t want to spend that much. It also doesn’t stack with the £15 voucher, which is annoying.

LoveLabradors · 23/11/2025 13:55

I think I’m a weirdo clearly as I like the discotheque perfume! 🤣

IlovePond · 23/11/2025 14:05

Well, I have spent my £15 CB voucher - the second one. I put £50 of product in my basket and added the code - accepted. Then I removed things one by one until my basket came to £33.50 - then reduced to £16.50 with the discount, at which point I paid.

It seems to have gone through ok.

I then tried the same tactic with the £5 voucher but it didn’t work - still wanted me to spend £25, so I didn’t. If there are any spectacular £25 bargains between now and next week I might succumb, otherwise I think that’s it for me with CB for now.

I bought the grooming sock plus some lotion. I don’t know why I ignored this sock earlier - I think the name made me think it was full of beard oil! It’s actually really good- probably better for me than the two others I bought ages ago.

Succumbed in john lewis to the advent calendar. Full price, but i kept my receipt so if it goes down before dec1st i will return it.

Also got the clinique black honey set of lipstick, lip oil and mascara all.full sizes £36 down from.£45.

I dont get on with many mascaras but j like this one and the lip oil is good, will layer nicely over almost lipstick.

John Lewis price promise against themselves, so if it drops in the next 7 days, if you apply then they'll refund the difference.

i am loving the recommendations on here, so helpful. If anyone else likes Bobbi Brown face base, 100ml size is currently available on the BB website at £54, which is the usual cost of the 50ml. There”s also a £75 spend GWP- choice of full size eye shadow stick, lip shine or blusher

OvaHere · 23/11/2025 17:52

@marchduck I've never tried the face base. I really must at some point as loads of people seem to love it.

Space NK have a sale in their app, as predicted. The Christmas crackers and some other gift sets/edits are 15% off.

Thanks - feels wrong to be paying full price for an advent calendar this late in the season and with BF around the corner, I'll be looking out to see if it goes down as the scented candle one is already reduced (unfortunately I'm not in to those)

I've had a browse. 15% isn't really tempting on the gift sets. Quite a bit of other stuff has 20-25% off. I got a Laura Mercier setting spray I fancied trying and a travel size Kosas concealer to try out.

I did spot a random Bamford Geranium soap and lotion gift set 250ml each that had 50% off if anyone is looking for that sort of thing as a gift.

@OvaHere, I do like the BB face base more than other primers, it has a scent; noticeable in a good way, but not overpowering
i was looking at the Clarins website earlier and see that they are not doing the usual 3 samples per order during the “busy period’ . Maybe a bit of a niche product, but most of the lip stains are reduced to £13.30 - I love the rose water shade and they haven’t been available to buy online or in store for ages.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 23/11/2025 20:50

Any recommendations for hair spray or style holding sprays that smell really lovely? I tried the Moroccan hairspray and didn't like it, it was sticky and didn't smell great. I have never found a hairspray I like - any ideas?

AlPaccacino · 23/11/2025 21:59

Noooo SNK have discounted the fragrance calendar. 😠

OvaHere · 24/11/2025 07:20

VBB has 25% off for members. I decided I was going to get the cocoa eye palette I've been thinking about for a while. Set my basket up last night tried to checkout about 7am and they've sold out. I wonder if it went live at midnight or something.

Grumpy now. More than usual for a Monday morning. 😩

Oh I didn't know about this, I must've deleted the email. I'm still just deleting them, as you said before @OvaHere it is quite overwhelming the amount that is being sent out. One of them was even titled 'not another black Friday email' 😕 so thank you, I've been wanting the Victoria eye wardrobe for a while. Just purchased 😍😁 with a free mini mascara sample 💃Now that's me officially done 🤣

JoRaRaRa · 24/11/2025 07:59

Oh and I'm sorry you didn't manage to get the cocoa holiday set. I looked at that but I already have those colour of eye pencils. It would have been great to see the other eyeshadow palettes in sets. Or being like Charlotte tilbury where it let's you select the colours to create your own box 🩷😊 it seems the cocoa wardrobe has sold out. That one reminds me of another palette I have.

Doglover73 · 24/11/2025 08:23

Ive just received a message from Cult beauty about the £5 voucher offer saying sorry for any inconvenience I have added a £5 credit to your account. I ssid thanks thats great but ut was £15 of vouchers in total as 3 separate orders.
Will wait for a reply. 🙄🤣

Would be interested in your thoughts on the kosas concealer as im in need of a concealer after getting the odd spot after using medik 8 ret 1. I presume that's why anyway. Its the shade matching online that does my head in. 🤔😕

Its an expensive product. Ive used it recently and liked it and have a few in back up so not buying anymore as also have i have bought lot of advents and edits recently. 🥰

IDontHateRainbows · 24/11/2025 08:34

There wasn't much to tempt me in Space NK not even the discounted fragrance calendar. Can't believe Harvey Nicks and Space NK still haven't sold out of the fragrance calendars, usually they are the first to go. I sell a lot on ebay and saw loads last year that people had bought in autumn and not been able to sell before xmas still listed in the new year and unable to shift. So my money's that the re sellers have not been scooping them up in droves this year and that's meant less demand.

I wanted to try the new rare beauty fragrance, the mini set with spray had sold out but I got the mini rollerball + blusher which was reduced to £24 with £10 indulge points = £14 and I reckon I'll sell the blusher on ebay for around that so girl maths says I get the perfume for FREE!
