Need some serious inspiration. Am very lucky and have been invited to a long weekend birthday party in May in Ibiza. Think huge great villa, chef, butler - not my usual life at all! It is not until May, but am already panicking about what to wear. Am so worried I’m willing to invest in a few key things so I don’t feel like a dull, dreadful boring old frump amongst slim, attractive young things.
I’d like:
an effortless, wandering around old town day time outfit
a dress / evening outfit that could do dinner out at cool restaurant, followed by dancing
I am 51, 5’11”, size 14 hate my legs so everything needs to be trousers or ankle length, hour glass (although a new tum is developing I still need to focus on my waist)
ideas for glam earrings / accessories to take things up a notch would be gratefully received too.
I always used to lean towards boho, colourful clothes (love red, pale blue, turquoise, emerald can’t do sophisticated middle aged lady colours like cream or camel as they wash me out), but now feel that the colours and style I used to wear makes me look like mutton dressed as lamb.
I’d be really grateful for any tips or actual links to outfits, independent brands or even stylists to follow on instagram?
