Having soft raincoat dry-cleaned for first time in ages - is there some sort of gentle rain-resistant stuff I ask them to put on?

It's a lovely soft drapey raincoat, definitely not rainproof, but does I think work in very light drizzle... what do `i ask them for? Or don't I? Thanks!

Does it say anything on the care label? Will having the coat dry cleaned actually damage the showerproofing?

If it has a DWR (durable water repellant) coating, you can revive it with TX Direct spray.

Proofed coats shouldn't be dry-cleaned, it will mess up the existing DWR. I have several such coats and jackets and they all say the same, even stuff that is 30 years old.

As @IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads (nice name) says, look for in wash-re-proofers. I use Grangers, the one that cleans and re-proofs at the same time.
