My great trouser finding mission!

I'm hoping you all can help me in my trouser quest please? I'm 5ft 4ins. Too tall for petite but way too short for normal length. Add in that i have a bit of a tum so when I go for a size 12, the trousers are really tight on my belly when i sit down but if I go for a size 14 they're even longer and a bit too baggy in the belly area.
I've been trying to find some brands that I can rely on for buying work trousers but I can never seem to find anything that matches my needs. I end up buying long ones and having to pay for them to be taken up.
I would love some pointers of any brands that work for you, if you are in a similar predicament to me please.

Im the same height and Im fine in any trousers marked 29 inch length. I guess it depends on your individual shape. Im also size 12.

Is that for bootcut-type trousers? I find that they fall a bit too short for me.

Marks is incredibly tight around the waist so try a 14 that will probably fit much better, regular length.
I wear Damart for work that always fits I ignore anything with weird sizing and tend to go for Next and M and S.

I'm 5'3" and size 14. I recently bought some Hush wool blend tapered leg trousers from John Lewis. They say they're purple. I think they're brown. Also come in black. Great fit. Not too long and accommodate my midriff. Not the cheapest (£110), but look quality. I'm really pleased with them.

This is it the more expensive the trousers the better the fit. I can't wear anything from TK Ma trousers are sooooo long. I work in the NHS and need trousers that stretch and can withstand being trashed hence Damart.
I've actually bought some pretty good trousers on Amazon but they are quite hit and miss.

That's interesting. I have bought some good leggings from Amazon. I'm willing to pay more for something decent if it fits. Our John Lewis closed down a while ago but I think they have stock online. Will take a look!
