Boots (footwear)

I’d like some new boots this year, probably in brown. Either very short and not too chunky (I have several pairs of biker style chunky) or knee length. To complicate things though, I have arthritis in my feet and need a good soft, supportive footbed. I have looked at Clark’s, Fitflop, Celtic Sheepskin and Ecco. Nothing is inspiring me. I may be an old crone with dodgy paws, but I’m stylish, so very not into Hotter etc.

How are other’s boot searching going?

I have bought one new pair of boots this year which are burgundy Doc Marten 1460s - still in the process of breaking them in. They are darker than I expected, more dark brown than burgundy really, but will go with lots of outfits.

I would like a pair of chelsea boots like Claudia's Bottegas but the ones I like are all very long in the leg which doesn't work so well when you have chunky calves like me.

@evilharpy your docs sound great. I’m past my days of being able to tolerate footwear that needs breaking in sadly.

@FionnulaTheCooler I have looked at them, but none grab me. Good to hear they are comfortable though.

Geox boots are great. Just great.

@Awrite I’ll check them out, thanks
