Stumped with shoes

I’m in a bit of a vinted/google nightmare atm. I used to love heels/dressing up but since getting ill and stopping FT work my style has slumped into work uniform and SB leggings.

I’ve got some work/volunteer nights out coming up so I’ve bought some lovely Boden bright pink cord trousers from Vinted that I plan on wearing with a navy silk top from Jigsaw that’s old but still going strong. The trousers are just on my ankle so I really need heels. I’ve found some navy suede heeled Mary Janes from Hobbs but scared they are a bit high.

Does anyone have any ideas of what else I can wear? I’m now really a loafer girl at heart but know they won’t cut the mustard and the heels that I used to wear (and still see on vinted) just look dated.

I just think the trousers would look better with a bit of a heel. They aren’t cropped enough imo to get away with flats 🙃.

I’m like you, OP. I live in trainers and flats and maybe a very small chunky heel on boots. When I need a pair of shoes for a fancy do or similar, I have a look at Next and they always come up trumps. Went to my nephew’s wedding in Summer and found a great pair of low but elegant shoes online. I had them on all day and they only started to nip on the way home, long after most female guests had changed into flip-flops. Iordered 8 pairs and they all would have done (only kept one). I don’t live in the UK any more but when I visit, I always have a look, mainly online, and they have endless options.

Not saying I like a bit of bling too ... but I've just ordered the sparkly loafers! So much for my Total Ban 😳 What the hell, they'll cheer me up on a gloomy day.

I can't cope with heels as Im waiting for a joint replacement on my big toe. I bought these off Van Dal and love them. They look really nice with trousers.
