Be very wary of 'clearance' scams

I was very disappointed when, following recommendations on here, I tried shopping at Silk Fred and found everything was polyester! I guess that must've been a sign they were in trouble - not my visits, you understand, the polyester.

They were just a marketplace its not their fault that the companies using them were primarily using polyester.

Yes but they bought the products didnt they? I once bought a blouse from them after recommendations on here and it was absolutely shocking quality. This was before I knew about some of the terrible practices in the clothing industry and now research more carefully, but I cant say Im surprised at this news.

I’m really not surprised. I heard/read terrible reviews on the quality of the clothes. They were not cheap either. Shame for those losing money/jobs though.

There was a time when mumsnetters always seemed to recommend them but I wasn't impressed at all.

I agree with pps taking about quality and material. I hated their name, and then tried them and found the quality and material lived up to the name.
