Tights that look current

Hello, I gather my trusty M&S 40d black opaques are even less fashionable than usual this year. But what do I wear instead that will be fine for work with a dress, ideally not patterned, and look like I know it’s 2025? I wore a pair of ‘nearly black (aka dark brown) ones the other day in a slightly more sheer finish which felt a bit more current (I know dark brown is in). Any other suggestions?

No ‘wear what you like’ or ‘swap for wide leg trousers’ thankyouverymuch 😆 I know what I like, it’s looking current while still being warm in my usual smart dress/skirt.

I usually have a midi or midaxi dress/skirt for work in plain fabric or dark colour leather, and usually DMs or ankle boots at this time of year, bit wet for trainers now.

I have some brown patterned tights that I think would do the job.

Thin tights are in but brrrr too cold for me. I’ve been meaning to buy a pair of those tights that look sheer but are really thick fleecy skin colour lined. They seem quite popular atm.

Thank you, yes I think I will bite the bullet and go for patterned brown ones if I want something warmer than sheer brown ones. I don’t have a falke budget but it looks like there’s some argyle / slightly geometric ones out there, better that than bad cheap florals!

My skinnies were ripped from me they are not taking my black tights too I'll be keeping them.

Coloured opaque tights or ribbed coloured tights. Warm and different.
