Alternative to Olaplex?

AMouseWithValour · 10/11/2025 08:49

Hello - I really like Olaplex and find it really works for my hair. However, I would like a little break from it and the smell.

Does anyone have any ideas for an alternative that I can use for a while? Many thanks

Philip kingsley elasticiser is good. Be careful with olpalex. If you're using it more than once a month it can completely ruin your hair by taking the protein levels too high.

Living Proof Triple Bond Complex works much better than Olaplex or K18 which ruined my hair.

Thank you so much. I saw some good reviews for K18.

K18 ruined my hair, I had to get 3" cut off as it was so dry. There are mixed reviews some people love it.

Is that with all products? I've just started using some smoothing serum (No.6) and didn't know that it can cause problems!

I also use the Living Proof triple bind builder with each wash(every 3 days or so). Should I not do that?
I must admit it transformed my hair when I first used it but it is rather dry on the ends.

I use it weekly with no issues over 2 years.
