Hi, I'm very pale and the only colour foundation that seems to suit me is L'Oréal True Match in N1.

It's perfect colour but not great for lasting.

Anyone got any better recommendations with an identical colour?

My go-tos for very pale skin are:

Dior Forever Matte Foundation, shade 0N.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid, NC5 or NW5

Both extremely pale and a bit on the pricey side but a littles goes a long way. I buy the Dior one now.

DoYouReally · 09/11/2025 19:50

Thank you.

I will definitely try get samples of those later this week

It's so long since I tried Mac I didn't realise they did 5. NW10 was way too strong for me last time I tried Mac.

I’m extremely pale but have never found a true match that doesn’t look like white paint or make me look like a porcelain clown. I use w7 liquid foundation with the red top. I use buff but then I use a white setting powder to pale me back down. I’ve used all sorts and that’s the only one that covers my face all day. It’s also cheap as chips.

I'm pale and wear Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. It matches my skin tone exactly and I just look like a better version of me.

Yeah, I had the same issues with the Mac.

The Dior one though - make sure that it's the matte version if you are a bit oily. There is a similar "Dior Skin Glow" or in the same shade and it's dewy and moisturising, the opposite of what I look for.

Have you tried Korean beauty? Their foundations come in a number of very pale shades. I'm currently a massive fan of Missha BB cream and even their 'medium' shades are very light.

MakeMineStrong · 09/11/2025 20:15

I’m pale and fair and use a Boots No7

BauhausOfEliott · 09/11/2025 20:27

I’m extremely pale (paler than you, I suspect). Generally speaking, I can only find shades for me in mid-range or high-end brands - I’ve never found a high street foundation that works for me.

I generally wear Bobbi Brown, Nars, IT Cosmetics, Merit or most recently Tir Tir (Korean brands often have pale shades in their ranges).

Candleabra · 09/11/2025 20:28

I use bare minerals foundation powder. I can’t get on with liquid foundation at all, it just looks like a mask to me.

OchreSwan · 09/11/2025 20:30

Estée Lauder double wear was a long time favourite for my very pale skin. It’s very high coverage and lasts well - not my thing anymore as I prefer a lighter look, but could work for you

milkandblackspiders · 09/11/2025 20:36

I have the charlotte tilbury stick foundation, its light coverage but its the best colour match I've ever had for my very pale skin. They have an online tool where you describe your skin and then take a selfie to help you find the right colour

Handeyethingyowl · 09/11/2025 20:39

I have worn a few of the above, and have particularly liked Bobby Brown, EL and Georgio Armani ones. Currently wearing the less expensive Hydra lift No7 and the lady on the counter matched a shade for me. It was actually a shade darker than I could have bought myself and feels nice. I also use a bit of rare beauty highlighter in a bronze shade.

NewDogOwner · 09/11/2025 21:12

Nars All Day Luminous in Mont Blanc. For the first time in my life I didn't need the lightest colour they have. They have several lighter shades than that!. It's also gorgeous, covers everything, can be sheered down by applying with a wet sponge or be full coverage, is gives a beautiful luminous finish and lasts all day.

DoYouReally · 09/11/2025 21:18

Thanks so much.

I really wasn't expecting as many replies and suggestions.

I've tried Bobby Brown & Armani before unsuccessfully but with no success

Will try to get sample for as many as possible and let you know of any work out.

Thanks again - I'm thrilled to have so many new options.

I’m quite pale and currently using merit beauty in linen. They have a good selection of pale shades I like their foundation stick but it’s not for everyone I expect. Also Jones rd face pencil
in shade 1 was pretty good for me.

Greenpeanutsnail · 09/11/2025 21:33

DCYPHER is one option. It’s custom made. Lily Lolo is worth looking at too- you can order a sample.

Sodafarl · 09/11/2025 21:34

Another vote here for Boots No 7. They can colour match for you. I'm Calico which is the palest on the chart I believe. There's a colour for everyone, and it's reasonably priced, which is good if you're planning on just testing it out

MrsBucketHat · 09/11/2025 21:41

Have you tried Lisa Eldridge? I love love love her skin tint. The foundation is great too.

ChristmasHug · 09/11/2025 21:52

I used to use No 7, some were even slightly too pale and I am the palest of the pale.

Now use EL Double wear. 1N1 and 1N2 which I mix to get a good match year round. Very good foundation and the bottle lasts months.

kshaw · 09/11/2025 22:00

I like Rimmel ones (had a few, the colour perfect but not always the right product for my skin) in true ivory 103 but they do different undertones to that one, cheap enough to try a few too

TealReader · 09/11/2025 22:02

I’m extremely pale and also very cool toned. I find most foundation looks very yellow on me. Lisa Eldridge is the best I’ve found.

ForHazelTiger · 09/11/2025 23:48

Armani do amazing pale shades

MyNameIsAlexDrake · 10/11/2025 01:15

I’m very pale and use Lily Lolo mineral foundation in candy cane. There’s a lighter one called Blondie too.

Yes, I struggle with getting shades that don't make me look yellow or orange, which is why I love my Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. At my age less is more as anyrhing too heavy really ages me.
