How long to leave stuff up on Vinted?

I’m having a massive clear out. I’ve taken 20 black bags to the charity shops over the last year and yesterday I started selling on Vinted.

I sold 17 things yesterday and have had the massive ball ache of packing them up and taking them to 3 different places to be scanned and dropped off.

I can see items on there that have been on over a year but I don’t want this stuff lying around my house that long. I’ve no more room.

how long would you leave it on there before taking it to the charity shops?

11 months ago I would have taken it to charity

1 month max is my absolute limit
If it’s something is higher value and with a lot of interest I relist at a lower price for 2 more weeks then give away

FurForksSake · 08/11/2025 16:40

4-6 weeks. Decide whether the cost of drop offs allow for a slight reduction in price.

Autumn1990 · 08/11/2025 16:40

i do leave items up for ages but I’m regularly adding more and the old ones do sell eventually. If you want to shift something quick, send offers, reduce the price or relist it after a month

LaurieFairyCake · 08/11/2025 16:40

So you’d leave stuff up a month? That seems reasonable
the stuff I’ve got for sale since I started listing yesterday has all gone for good prices so maybe I can do a month

If you take really good photos and price your items right, they'll sell.

I have never had things on Vinted for longer than a week or so. All my stuff sells.

It's when people put high and unrealistic prices that they don't sell.

It's best to BUMP items, too. They'll definitely get sold!

We agreed a month then charity here as well. (I also sell DHs stuff). The only exception is very expensive or niche stuff like motorbike leathers which require a specific customer!

wonderingwhatsnext · 08/11/2025 16:43

I leave it a week, then reduce it on a Friday night if necessary. If it's not sold by the following Monday it goes to the charity shop.

Not what you asked but go into your settings and only offer the courier(s) that are convenient for you. At least you won’t be going to multiple different places then.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 08/11/2025 16:51

It's all packed away in a suitcase in the spare room, so I keep it either until it sells or I run out of room for new stuff in the suitcase so clear out the oldest stuff

Only list delivery companies that are easy for you/in the same place. I think it depends on the season. I’ve had a clear out but will list the summer items when it’s warmer.

LaurieFairyCake · 08/11/2025 16:59

Thanks Galliano had no idea you could do that !

Could also sell bundles of things that are the same size if you want a quick sale.
