Botox - no change by day 9?

Hi all, I had Botox for the first time 9 days ago. I'd been considering it for so long and finally decided to go for it. I mainly wanted it for my 11's as I'm 36 and my natural resting face seems to be a angry frown. I'm really conscious of it and feel it makes me look cross all the time.

Anyway, she did 3 areas - 11s, forehead and tiny bit in crows feet.

It's now day 9 and I can see no difference whatsoever. I wasn't expecting miracles but the 11s and forehead lines are still there and I have full range of movement. I know it can take up to 2 weeks and I have a follow up appointment then, but I'm just wondering if anyone else got to day 9 with nothing? Everything I've read says people start to see some effect by week one.

About 10 to 14 days for me. Sometimes sooner, but 10 to 14 is the norm.
Your practitioner may not have been heavy handed, if it is your first time, which is good. Address anything at the follow up.

I think it depends on the brand used. I have had Botox where I see an effect the next day, but the one I go to now takes longer. I am currently on day 8 after my previous botox completely wore off, and I still have movement - I can notice a slight difference but there’s still full range. I expect that by day 14 it will have taken full effect. I did at first that it hadn’t worked but it did and looked good

Also for first time they will put in less than you actually need because they don’t know how much you need neither do you. I need more than my aesthetician would put in to other people but we only figured it out after seeing the result and topping up after about 2-3 weeks a few times. So now she puts more in so I don’t need to come back

It’s unusual but will be revised at your top up. Ask about the brand as some work much faster than others
