Hoping for some help...
I'm 53 and have lost sufficient weight over the past year to go from a size 24 to a size 14, heading towards a size 12. I'm 5'9, but I have no idea what brands to look at or what's good quality. I've been a bigger lady for so long that I've stuck to plus sizes. What should I look at on vinted for example. I don't have a huge budget and am basically starting from scratch!

What’s your lifestyle and budget?

Are you looking for business casual, casual, leisure or office wear?

Do you prefer more structured stuff or a more boho look?

I've recently gone from a size 22 to a size 8. I buy a wide range of brands on Vinted - as the previous poster said, it depends on what your style is and what occasion you're dressing for. Looking at my recent Vinted searches, I've been looking at Sezane, Erdem, Me+Em, Saloni, Rixo, Sister Jane, Suzannah, Farm Rio, YMC and Kemi Telford.

Office work 5 days a week but only required to look 'work wear' one day a week. Tend to be jeans , t shirt , cardigan or hoodie. Budget is definitely high street brands (hence why I have no idea on the more expensive stuff! ) need to rebuild a capsule type wardrobe. I can't wear heels so tend to live in chelsea boot type boots and the Adidas type trainers.

I'm a big fan of scandi brands- JDY, Only, Ichi...comparable price to high street shops (if not cheaper sometimes) but you know you're less likely to see other people wearing the same thing! Quality is pretty good too.

My usual quality high street brands (I’m the same kind of age as you) on the business casual side of things are:

Whistles
Jigsaw
Me and Em
Massimo Dutti
Reiss
Nicole Farhi
Ralph Lauren polo
Tommy Hilfiger

For going out/wedding appropriate:
Phase Eight
Mint Velvet
Coast

(some of these are obviously more expensive than others)

For more formal office wear, I veer towards Libby London and The Fold.
