Knitted trousers

I've just seen some really nice knitted trousers, being worn by a stranger on the street so I don't know where they were from!

The wearer was a teenager so I'll hazard that they weren't from anywhere very "classic", but they looked quite heavy quality.

They were cream. Had a heavy cable knit pattern right down both legs. Not very low waisted as far as I could see. Bootleg or slightly flared. And some unusual trimming around the top - almost like a cummerbund effect, knitted but not in the same cable pattern, several inches wide. I'm sure this was integral to the trousers, it wasn't a belt.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried searching but it's the cummerbund that's missing on all the hits, probably because I have no idea how to describe it!

Uniqlo

Try fold down waist instead of cummerbund?

ObtuseMoose · 02/11/2025 12:24

Surely they're not meant to be worn outside, they look like pyjamas!

Not sure about the top part, but as PP suggested perhaps Uniqlo: Washable Knit Cable Trousers.

I just keep thinking about dirt and puddles. Surely you would get a brown ring around the bottom?

Temu , and probably Shien sell this sort of trousers.

I also think Uniqlo is good.
