Which ELF Primer is best?

I rarely wear make up but if I wear a light foundation it sits in my pores on my nose and chin.
Am I right to think a primer should help? I have never used a primer before.
Elf has been recommended and looks good value but there seems to be more than one sort.
Can anyone suggest which one do I need please?
I have slightly oily skin on my T zone if that is relevant.

ELF primers are ok but imo the Maybelline Poreless Jelly primer is the best. I’m over 50 with oily t zone. Goes beautifully under makeup - very smoothing and helps makeup stay perfect all day.

I use the Elf poreless putty primer which is about £10. I use the pink one as have pale skin .
I do have very dry skin though and I find it is non drying . I think with oily skin you might need something else or put something else on first ?
I do really like it and I think it does help with applying foundation .
They also have a halo glow setting powder for about £9 , which not sure if that would be better for you or use both in combination ?
I used to buy the benefit poreless primer which was also good . But I found it was almost £40 for a small tube . I swapped to Elf and I think their products are just as good , but a 1/4 of the price .
If you can , could you go to a large Boots / Superdrug that sells Elf products to check what might work for you ?

Elf is ok but the best by far is Porefessional by Benefit
