Setting spray over makeup

I've recently given the Laura Geller baked power a go. Looks nice but I feel like I want some moisture on top. I've seen a few dewy setting sprays. Are these a good idea?

My skin isn't exactly dry but feel like it needs a bit of something to keep hydrated. Almost like it feels thirsty. Sounds weird I know. Maybe it's primer I should use. I never understood primer. It's a recent invention to me and don't know why you need it over moisturizer and under makeup.

I'm getting worse eye wrinkles/ crepeyness too. Some mornings I am really puffy around my eyes but guessing that's a different issue. I'm 51.

Thoughts welcome.

I use primer underneath make up which gives it a nice even look - would not do make up without. And then when all done, setting spray. Definitely makes a difference for me. But also make sure use serum and moisturiser before any of this.

You want a fixing spray for over make up when its finished and a setting spray to blend cream products together.

I doubt it’s the ‘done’ thing but I use malibu after sun as a moisturiser these days. My skins loving me for it.

The Beauty Crop do some nice primers, I like their Aloe Vera one. They also do some really nice setting sprays.

Sorry if thats no help x

My skin felt the same with Laura Geller. Felt like my skin was parched.

But agree with @rainbowsparkle28, you need to layer moisture first, serum and moisturiser. Also a decent eye cream.

I use the Superdrug Vitaman E spray over the top of serum before moisturiser for an extra boost too.

There are some setting sprays that moisturise. I don’t use setting spray so can’t advise.
