Winter graduation

I’m hoping to make do with something I already have but am wondering what to wear for a winter graduation (my husband’s Masters). It’s likely to be fairly cold.

I’ve got loads of summer appropriate dresses. I do have a lovely navy Max Mara wool coat so o guess I could just make that my outfit but he’s booked an extra photo so we can have one together

An elegant coat would look excellent beside his gown.

Presumably you have something simple to wear beneath it?

I’ve got lots of work clothes which are basically black trousers and various blouses several Ralph Lauren ribbed jumpers, t shirts in various colours & then I’ve got mostly short sleeved floaty summer dresses (burgundy flowery silk, green/black All Saints & a sleeveless Sandro emerald green long ribbed dress.

Anything. Literally people wear anything.

Well yes, I know people wear anything. But this is Style & Beauty, I want to look good as the photos taken will probably be put up in our house for all to see.

could you wear the Sandro dress with a jacket or would your coat not go over a jacket?
The Max Mara dress would be ok, I think the others are a bit summery.

Annoyingly, I have lost my blazer. I ordered another and it doesn't fit!

I think all the links look a bit wedding.
People do not dress as if they're going to a wedding. It's kind of like smart business.

The Max Mara dress I wear to work. The Paul Smith one I bought to go to a corporate hospitality sporting event. The Sandro dress I havn't had chance to wear yet but I just loved the colour. I may wear it to work next summer. The All Saints dress was bought for a party and I normally wear it with a chunky belt, leather jacket & boots.

The Paige dress was indeed bought for a wedding but I also wear it on other occasions with a leather jacket and boots.
