Cool but not too cool trainers

Hi all, can anyone recommend some trainers or casual boots for the winter? Something cool/ trendy (two words that contradict that description…) but not trying too hard? Not Sambas - I hate the fit of them…

I've purchased 3 pairs of Spezials in the last month! Really comfy.

Looking at the FitFlop PlatFform boots as an alternative to uggs, got a little tired of them and not a fan of the slipper type ones

What is the sizing like? I am usually a UK8 and trainers can look like boats on my feet…
