Smart but warm coat

Hi,
I’m in need of a smart but warm coat. Currently have a waterproof coat but it’s not very warm (can obviously layer up) but it’s not very smart. I’d love something a bit smarter for dry wintery days to go with jeans and boots or over dresses.

That coat is way out of my budget unfortunately 😢

What is your budget?

That All Saints coat is beautiful! Very expensive, yes, but it has a high wool content and that’ll make it warm.

OP, I can recommend Zara’s tailored coats for the fit. They look great and are much cheaper. Mango and Massimo Dutty are brilliant too - Spanish labels ace this style. However, the wool content used in their coats is unlikely to be as high.

Try Massimo Dutti. M&S also have some good ones.

I’ve jut bought one from Superdry - haven’t tried it on yet but the quality looks fab. It’s 50% wool and was only about £150.

I have the Ted Baker wool trench coat that is everywhere and there's a reason its everywhere it's brilliant.

I’ve just bought the Uniqlo part wool coat. V pleased with it.

Wool coats will never be as warm as a big puffy one, but I have two of these, which I wear under my many wool coats. They keep your body so, so warm and look fine if they do peek out, but really don't show. Honestly, so cosy, and I don't feel all trapped in it like I do if I layer up under a coat with jumpers etc.
