Shoe help is needed!

I have a third degree burn on the inside of my right ankle, just below the ankle bone. (Visualise just about where trainer socks sit and that’s where is scalded myself with hot oil meant for my roasties last week).
Because of the location every pair of shoes and most boots are so uncomfortable as they all hit at that point. I have special dressings from the hospital and sadly expect this injury is going to take weeks to heal so I’m looking for some comfy footwear I can wear on the school run and into the office!
So far I’ve managed with slippers (I have mahabis which are great for at home), tolerated a small try at trainer and boots but they are truly uncomfy and have resorted the last 2 days to some cheap fake crocs but whilst they don’t hurt I’ve had cold feet and I wouldn’t feel comfy in them in the office.

I’ve seen some Bitkenstock Bostons that don’t have anything around the ankle and am struggling to find anything else!

What’s wrong with the Birkenstock Boston’s? They seem like an obvious choice to me or do you want smarter?
a backless slip on loafer perhaps?

@Terrytheweaselnothing wrong with the Birkenstock bostons. They are not normally the sort of thing I would wear and are also quite expensive so I thought I’d ask if I was missing any other options before ordering a pair 😀

How about this? Perhaps a little better for work?

I don't think smart in the office comes into it if you have an injury. Wear your crocs or Birkenstocks with pride and soft fluffy socks. If you wear long wide leg trousers your feet will hardly be seen anyway.

Like crocs you can get lookalike Birkenstocks. But they are so comfortable you might be hooked.

Josef Siebel Betsy Clogs - put in a shearling insole and wear warm socks.
