Has anyone got a recommendation for a good cleanser under £10 please? For normal to slightly dry mature skin.

I’m currently finishing a Lidl cleanser which I wouldn’t buy again, and have also used:l the following on the last couple of years:

Cerave (too drying)
Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth - good
Superdrug B Cleanse - good but not keen on a balm so much
Simple cleansers - good but nothing special
Aldi hot cloth cleansers - loved these but can’t find them anymore
Aldi marine balm - not keen
L’Oreal cleansing milk (pink one) - stings skin

I really like Byoma, the milky one. Its a great price for the quantity and the quality.

Please can I ask which brand of coconut oil do you use and do you use it as a face or body moisturiser too?

Not that poster but I buy mine from Lidl. It's about £3 for 300ml.

If you don't mind spending £3 more then Una Brennan's vitamin C cleanser is nice, find it in Sainsburys.

@SoapCollector , coconut oil is a bit greasy as a face moisturiser. Jojoba oil is lighter. A little of it goes a long way.

The Inkey List's Oat Cleansing Balm is really nice if you have dry skin. It is usually £12 but £9 on LookFantastic at the moment so within your budget.

Waitrose own 😃

UpMyself · 27/10/2025 21:00

@DriveVerySlowlyPastNumber23IWantThemToSeeMyHat , the Pure one? I've liked what I've tried from that range.

Garnier Micellar water cleanser is my go to, I use the oil based one

FourBlackCats · 27/10/2025 21:59

I also love the Inkey List oat one and haven’t had any problems getting it out of the tube (dry sensitive skin, very sensitive eyes).

I really like the Inkey list milk cleanser, it’s a bit lighter than the Lacura one and rinses off really nicely without needing a cloth. It’s £13 but quite often there are voucher codes and 20% off deals. I use that if I’ve not been wearing make up, if I have then I use the una Brennan oil cleanser for a first cleanse and then the inkey list Fulvic acid cleanser afterwards. The oil cleanser is nice but I need something else to make my skin feel a bit cleaner!
the Fulvic acid foams very slightly but feels super gentle, it’s lovely. Couldn’t get on with the oat one either, I know some people love it but the texture was rubbish for me.
I’ve also tried the Byoma milky moisture one too, find it similar to the Inkey list milk but i prefer the texture of the latter!

I really like the Sukin Signature Cream Cleanser.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/10/2025 20:40

And this one is also by L'Oréal and it's even cheaper.

No7 cleansing lotion for dry skin. Maybe stop using the ones that need rinsing (the water is hard in my area) and use an alcohol free toner to remove this.

Love this too

I do a double cleanse. First wash is with Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil cleanser to start removing make up then second cleanse with NIVEA Gentle Face Cleansing Cream Wash for Dry & Sensitive Skin (pink bottle with almond oil). Having the cream wash second seems to soothe and moisturise my skin.

Op I can recommend using the coconut oil as couple of posters have suggested. I've removed it with damp cotton wool pads instead of a face cloth. No skin or eye irritation and no stinging! Hope you find something suitable.
