Lash lift gone bad! - Please help

Is there anyway I can relax my lashes after a lash lift?! They have been curled so badly, the first time they were amazing, second time they look horrendous! One eye isn’t too bad but the other one my lashes have been either over curled or maybe curled using a thin rod, my lashes are literally sticking to my eyelid, they almost look more bent than curled as well. I can’t put mascara on properly either because my lashes are too close to my lid!! It has even curled some of my lower lashes upwards so I can’t put mascara on my bottom lashes! I have provided a photo which might help. Sorry it’s the best I could get. Please help!

You might just have to wait until the lashes right themselves as they fall out and are replaced naturally over a few weeks. And complain to the salon as the therapist is clearly not competent.

Have you had them done recently? Do the things you aren't meant to: wash your face and lashes with water, hot showers. The curl will relax.

PflumPfeffer · 24/10/2025 15:43

Yes if you had it done in the last 48 hours, go have a hot steamy shower asap!!

Fatiguedwithlife · 24/10/2025 15:44

Oh heck they’re bad

Nomdejeur · 24/10/2025 15:46

Oh gosh, go back! I don’t know if they can do anything but you definitely need to complain.

Biosblbay · 24/10/2025 21:14

@wizzywig a week ago, I left them thinking it was a normal part of the process and that they might have calmed down after time but they haven’t 😩

@Fatiguedwithlife aren’t they just! They look worse in person too!

@PflumPfeffer unfortunately was a week ago 😩 I thought it would take time for them to calm down, I thought this was part of the process

I would go back and get them to relax the lift, you need someone professional using chemicals on your lashes and checking them constantly.

I do a home lash lift. Yours are over curled and possibly over processed too.

Definitely go back and ask for them to correct it. They should just use the same solution (number 1) but usually it is done relatively soon after the lashes are first lifted. They comb that through whilst pulling down and then it is removed very quickly.

However, yours may be too far gone to do this safely. Go get their professional advice. They should have seen that they used the wrong sized rod/shield which is a worry. It is all to do with choosing one depending on the length of your lashes and where they land on the shield. If you are interested this video by Elleebana shows how to measure for the correct size.

@CollectingBottleTops my issue is that the lady that done my lashes also does my nails which she is the best at! she does this from home also, but I really like her and I don’t want to offend her in anyway 😩 I just won’t get them done again and will say they aren’t for me. Is there a way I can do this by myself at all?

You are not going to offend her, just say they feel a bit too curled for you. They do not look great so she may already know she messed it up.

Do you know what system she used? ie what products? I use Elleebana eye shields but my product is Iconsign which I got off Amazon. This was the main video I used to do mine because she uses the Iconsign kit but I did watch a lot of professional lash lift videos. She does talk through if they are too curled to brush through the perm solution. That is at the 9.52 minute mark.

You just need to be aware that you are potentially damaging your eyelashes further but there is a nutrition solution in the kit to use. Separately there are also lash serums you could use on a regular basis.

Go to someone else for lash relaxing and then continue to get your nails done by her

DrowningInSyrup · 25/10/2025 19:38

Hot bath, cleansing balm or oil.

I’m a beauty therapist- lash lift/ relaxation is the same thing. Do they feel brittle? If yes the product may have been left on too long and it could damage the lashes more to treat again. If they are soft you can redo them but with a shorter processing time. I use a really good (and expensive) product (Ellebanna) but lots of places use cheap harsh products so that can make a difference too. Xx
