I bought from Bridal Beauty Company since they started, but I'm definitely not going for this edit. I knew as soon as I saw it that they would be asking £150 for it. I also emailed them about a year ago to tell them to stop with the flashing images. They are annoying and also I'm sure they aren't good for folk with epilepsy or vision issues. I think they just blindly followed the TikTok fashion.

Maybe I'm just a miserable old goat now, but they lost my custom a year ago and I used to buy every month

Theres 7% on TCB for new customers, and I think 5% for existing customers

Are we supposed to spend £150 with only a few flashing images to go on?

I'm an absolute sucker for mystery boxes but £150 is a bit too rich for me but I might try some of their smaller ones. I've been googling can't find anything on the Christmas one.

The problems I had with the more recent BBC boxes were that they didn’t include the products that were advertised but much worse were the use by dates. In many cases products has very short dates and some others were already past their expiry date.

I would not trust them with my hard earned £150. IME they sail very close to the wind with their fuzzy descriptions/ spoilers which may or may not translate into actual products received ..

Oh yes and dodgy shelf life . I think they buy their stuff from that site we were all looking at a couple of weeks ago😂😂. At least the site was up front about short dates etc to be fair to it . BBC I think sweep up cheap deals on short dated stock and market it together as edits . The “mystery” element is a cover story so if they run out of a product they can get away with giving you a substitute. After getting burnt I thought to myself , save your money and buy from the usual online or in store places where you know what you’re getting and it’s new stock.

I had issues with them too and returned 2 out of 2 boxes purchased. First time around their CS was shocking, cheeky replies, tried to make me pay for return postage etc. Second time their CS was fairly good and no issues with returning the box, so I was going to leave it be but… they kept sending me mails asking for a review 🙈🙈 After a few requests I decided to give in and left an honest review 😂😂 it did get deleted eventually, but their founder has emailed me with an explanation on why reviews disappear and the BB dates. Apparently they rarely buy their products, but get them donated to them, any wonder it’s mainly old stock. I have attached email screenshots, I decided to keep it as a reminder on why I should never buy from them again 🙄

It's actually a very nice combination of, a lot of new (to me) products. There's also the Dyson style serum in there. Very tempting but way too risky for £150. I actually really enjoyed their last year's Christmas mystery box, it was very good. And, overall, I loved so many things from their mystery edits, bought quite a few. So it was good value and definitely interesting. But I'm definitely not going back. Zero consistency and too many maybes for my liking.

I refuse to be tempted by BBC. I had a couple of boxes that were OK but then I had the one with the CT individual perfume samples that was meant to be a discovery set. It also didn't have the Jurlique products as advertised.
I got quite a rude email from customer service but the manager sorted it quickly to be fair when I escalated. I was actually cc'd on their internal email about it at one point and could see they're just incompetent and out of their depth; definitely not scammers or anything malicious.

I had the same issues with BBC last year. They sent the tiny sample perfumes, the mismatched Jurlique products and most of the items had a short expiry date.
I emailed them and got a very rude reply. They also expected me to pay for postage to return it after already paying for delivery.
It got resolved in the end but has put me off using them again.

Although I did regret not going for the edit with the Ziip Halo

The Boots skincare advent which was £70 is now also included in the 10% off eith stargift10, and works alongside the 10% off £25 if you have it on your advantage card. I also have £7 points on a £70 spend on my advantage card which works for me if I have two in my basket. Tempted.

How strange ! They don’t buy their stuff products but get them donated ? But they expect us to pay £150 for their “curations” . It just gets weirder. Agree they had someone in CS who was shocking , I think they got rid of them. I was accused of being sarcastic (!) which I most certainly wasn’t . The whole debacle made me furious. I wish they would close down 😃
