Has anyone ordered the Guerlain calendar? It’s so lovely! Completely out of my price range unfortunately!

No, but I really really really wanted it for the last 3 years. One year I will cave in buy it!

@Branster me too. I doubt it will be discounted but you never know! As a consolation I just bought a heavily reduced Guerlain Xmas set from last year from look fantastic!

I've never seen it discounted as such.
But, but, but ... I found a 10% reduction last year sitewide and the AC was included. It was either some sort of Black Friday or after Christmas offer or maybe new customers offer. My memory is terrible but I remember playing around with the basket at the time, still ridiculously expensive but oh so stunning.

And they still had it in stock at full price well into the new year last time.
It might be on seasonal offers on other generic beauty websites, when they gave 19-20% site wide?
My heart says yes but my brain tells me I'm being ridiculous to even consider it.
Plan
a) is to slowly brainwash DH into getting used to the idea so that maybe in a couple of years he'd surprise me and buy it for me. It's the sorts of thing I would love to receive as a gift (ideally without me having to point it out). Unlikely to actually happen.
b) I find a rich lover who would want nothing else in this world but to keep me happy. This is absolutely not going to happen.
c) I succumb to my obsession and just buy the damn thing myself. Most likely scenario.
d) should you consider it, me and you buy it together and we swap it at regular intervals. I have no intention of using the stuff because it looks too beautiful as an assemble. It's just like a decorative piece of alternative art if you like. The cost of couriers will add up because we'd be using a special same day extra safe courier service. But what's that in the great scheme of things eh!

Very happy for a timeshare calendar, I only really want to sniff the perfumes and candles. I’m happy to imagine how the creams will make me look 20 years younger. It says it has 2 book marks (? have I read that wrong? I need to watch an unboxing video…), so we could split those, not sure the lipstick is my colour anyway. This time share would definitely work! And the courier would work brilliantly, after all, it has a “dedicated shipping box”!!!!

Oh? Which Guerlain set did you get? I love it as a brand…

The Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic Forte EDP, with body lotion and a mini perfume, down to £63 which I thought was good value and I had some account credit. I liked last years Xmas design slightly more than this year too, but tbh am so easily swayed by anything in a shiny, Christmas box! I noticed that Escentual have other gift boxes (?Mother’s Day sets) heavily reduced at the moment too.

Beware of vinted, for those buying from there. I've now had 2 separate orders with fake products. One I didn't notice until after the window for a refund.

Did anyone order the ok! Beauty calendar? And if so has it been sent? I ordered for dd1 over two weeks ago and the order status still says processing. I emailed to ask and got an AI response telling me when the monthly beauty boxes are dispatched but nothing about my actual order. All my other beauty related orders have been sent out same or next day so this feels like a very long wait.

I'd also be interested in what products please @CaramelChips I've tried to only buy when I can see the advent calendar in the background or they've also listed other products from the calendar at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised though, with the amount I've ordered, to have picked up a fake or 2 🙈 How do you know what's a fake? Without the obvious, burns your skin etc. I think I might have bought a fake dior makeup palette, it's from the 2023 holiday collection, the seller hasn't posted it yet, but the price is probably too good to be true.

My lip balm fakes looked great packaging wise, were a dupe of a minis set that did exist, but the product was wrong- consistency, smell, saturation etc. And because we knew what they were supposed to be like it was easy to spot. The seller admitted they were fake straight away when questioned. Put me off massively though. I want to know my products are authentic.

It says on the website that dispatch starts on 1 Octobet then says 'guaranteed by 1 December'

That's so annoying! I haven't been checking anything like that unless it's been perfume and then I've sprayed it as I've been scared of receiving just water 🤣 I think I might've once received a fake ab rich cream, I bought it straight after running out and the smell, consitancy and feel of it was just off, I gave it to my husband.

It's illegal to sell fakes, I don't even know where people get the makeup products from. I've got a few handbags from like Turkey, Egypt etc and I daren't even bin them incase the police come knocking 🤣 I spent £70 on a dior fake in Egypt and have never used it and don't think I ever will. I once took it out of the box and all the studs fell off 🙈🤣 lesson learnt!

Everything else I've ordered has arrived really quickly, so I'm quite impatient for it now, hopefully they will start to send them soon.

I ordered mine a while ago and it's arrived, but it probably was a few weeks from ordering to delivery. It's still a month until advent.

Had an AC in my basket at 9am, within seconds of it going live but it wouldn’t (and still won’t) let me check out.

I was trying out of curiosity more than anything but that is ridiculous.

I tried to order a YesStyle advent for sharing between my DDs stockings.

I got it into my basket at 9AM but the website crashed when I got to check out.

It also wouldn’t allow me to enter the discount code I have, so I probably wouldn’t have ordered it anyway

The products were Clarins. They have a site where you can enter the code on the product to check it is authentic. These were not.
