Long woolly dress

What to wear with it? It black, chunky wool, long sleeves and v neck. It’s lovely but I don’t wear it because I don’t know what shoes! I’ve tried boots, both knee high pointy ones and chunky ones. It just looks wrong. Help!

I always wear suede boots with wool dresses rather than leather. Just a personal quirk. I think it softens things.

I wear mine, I have one for every day of the week and more besides with suede knee boots, Ganni Chelsea boots, Primark cowboy ankle boots or patent Mary Janes with funky socks or black opaques

Id wear boots happily so I'm not helping. What length is the dress and what colour and height are the boots?

It’s mid calf length. I’ve tried it with knee high boots with a stiletto heel and flat chunky boots. I just don’t feel right. Maybe it’s me. It’s not my usual style so maybe I just have to get used to it. Or maybe I need to buy more boots!!

I wear my knitted dress with black mary janes, I feel it looks better with a dainty shoe but I will be wearing biker boots when it gets colder for practical reasons.

I've got some flat knee high slim (as in not chunky) suede boots from Jones the Bootmaker. Very useful in this sort of situation.

A.bit like these Crew ones (although I'm not so gone on Crew shoes quality wise but this sort of slim look in suede. So your legs look slim and theres some shape at the ankle)
