Capsule wardrobe tops

I’ve worked hard trying to redefine my style after slipping into a huge slump. I have a variety of trousers, jeans and skirts but I get lost when it comes to tops. I am large chested, typical apple shape with small bum and legs. What are the tops in your wardrobe that you keep going back to over and over again?

I bought a couple of the puff shoulder Hush T-shirts for this reason. They are a bit more shaped than bog standard ones. For work, I have a few plain jersey tops from Hobbs and thin merino jumpers from Marks.

Plain layering tops are the most useful things to have.
For you with a larger chest you will need scoop neck or v shaped tops.

For autumn/ winter i reach mostly for vneck jumpers . As @cantonetsays thin scoop neck layering tops are perfect underneath them . A wider leg trouser will balance your top half . For jumpers stick to plain colours and try to keep your layer tops the same colour or at least in the ball park . To break the top half up you could just tuck a jumper slightly into the waistband of your trousers. Either central or just to one side will give the illusion of the waist .
