Try Neom, L'Occitane or Molton Brown

Doraymefarsolateado · 19/10/2025 19:58

I was going to suggest Neom which is divine. TKMaxx had litre bottles a few weeks ago but they’re sold out now :(

MakeMineAMilkyTea · 19/10/2025 20:06

Elemis as well as all the above. Laura Mercier does a nice one. Emma hardie does a fab bath oil. I’d go for a bath oil over a bubble bath as find them more moisturising. My all time go to is aromatherapy associates for a bath oil. Just divine!

doublecleansed · 19/10/2025 20:08

They’re not even that luxury, but the Champneys bubble baths from Boots are some of the best I’ve tried (I love a posh bath as well).

edited to add: I’ve just seen they’ve revamped/rebranded - so can’t vouch for the new iterations. My favourite ‘Calm’ one doesn’t seem to exist any more…gah!

evilharpy · 19/10/2025 20:12

Can't beat Badedas, I love the smell!

Neom would get my vote if Badedas isn't fancy enough. Real Luxury or Pure Bliss scents.

Xmasbaby11 · 19/10/2025 20:15

Champneys was my go to as well, but haven’t tried the new version.

I was given a Neals Yard one that was v decadent!

BlindTipsy · 19/10/2025 20:20

I don't like bubbles as find them drying so usually go for bath oil or salts. Olverum bath oil is my absolute favourite. It has got expensive though so I alternate with Fenjal. I am hankering after Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille bath honey after smelling it in store but again expensive.

polkadothorse · 19/10/2025 20:26

Sweet almond oil with a few drops of your choice of essential oil mixed in. I’m enjoying sweet marjoram as it’s known to be relaxing.

BlindTipsy · 19/10/2025 20:27

Do you mix the essential oil with the almond oil before putting in the bath or just add separately? I would like to try this.

olivo · 19/10/2025 20:46

I love the White Company bubble baths for a proper treat! Sleep or calm….

baddecisionsmakegreatcompany · 19/10/2025 20:48

Olverum bath oil from Space NK. Bliss and you’ve just reminded me how much I love it!!

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 20/10/2025 06:33

Thank you all. I was given some cash for a big birthday recently and never splurge on myself. I’m going to wait until John Lewis have their next price reduction day and buy 2 or 3 of your recommendations. Thank you 🙏

I like the Clarins tonic range. Bath, oil and moisturiser. They also did a relax range which they discontinued.

AnchorWHAT · 20/10/2025 17:40

My personal choice is fenjal, either the oil or the bubble bath, followed by the body lotion and body spray, just love the smell.

Lurkingshark · 20/10/2025 21:12

Susanne Kaufmann very expensive but def stocked in JL sale ( and brand alley) at one point

TheGirlWhoWantedToBeGod · 20/10/2025 21:25

I love the Loccitane lavender bubble bath. You don’t need to use loads as the smell’s pretty strong, so a bottle lasts for a while.

EgregiouslyOverdressed · 20/10/2025 21:32

I absolutely love Olverum. It’s really expensive but you only need a tiny bit. It’s not bubbly, however.

The Olverum fans on this thread might also like Wiberg’s pine bath essence. Again, no bubbles, but a wonderful pine fragrance and and a fabulous shade of green. I’ve had some targeted ads for their new lavender and eucalyptus fragrance which I want to try next.

CarmellaSopranosKitchen · 20/10/2025 21:44

Neals Yard - lovely (very fragrant) - yes to Champneys Boots - and The Sanctuary stuff from Boots (orange bottle) - cheapie (compartively Badedas - lovely in these Autumn months,

Shinyandnew1 · 27/10/2025 22:18

Sanctuary is lovely. I have tried a Champney’s one (pink bottle) and it was incredibly meh-not particularly bubbly or nice smelling, so wouldn’t recommend that. I tried an almond L’occitane one as well which was much recommended on here last year but it didn’t smell of anything!

Will have a look at the White company ones-I love their Seychelles smell :)
