Summer holiday daytime dresses???

I have looked at my photos from the day time of my summer holiday with me and shorts and tshirts and frumpy practical sandals and want to raise my game. I was thinking cool but practical short (mid thigh) dresses.

I'm mid-40’s. Size 10. Thinking there might be better quality sale items at this time of year???

where do you buy nicer quality and shape summer day dresses?

Boden always have really pretty summer dresses that are made from cotton or linen.

I have some boden dresses. I dont tend to take them on holiday to hot countries due to them being a bit too thick for greece in august. Maybe i need a particular material

Esprit used to do fantastic dresses that fit this bill, have a look on Vinted and filter for exactly what you want - there’s absolutely tons and most priced under £10, I’ve bought loads this way. Gap and Benetton also worth hunting through.

I tend to avoid the double cloth ones in over 30c!

I have loads and bought most of them from Next, I add a few each year and get rid of the older ones. I have lots of different sandals, bags, necklaces etc to go with them.

I’ll be following closely - I’m 41 and a size 10 and I’ve lost weight and need new holiday clothes! I last had a sunny holiday in May and bought a few bits then, have some denim shirts and some lighter material ones, some oversized T-shirts and a couple of dresses but have 10 days in the Caribbean coming up and I’m in desperate need of some more clothes and obviously now isn’t the season to be buying them 😭
im struggling to 1) identify what I want and 2) find out where the hell I can buy it from!

@TheChosenTwo I've also lost lots of weight since my last hot holiday (St Lucia on January) and I'm.going back to the Caribbean in January so I need new clothes. I'm planning on buying from Vinted. At least my sandals still fit me!

I signed up for vinted and bought two benetton summer dresses. Fingers crossed in them.
