Maybelline and Rimmel are the 2 I purchase most, usually on a 3 for 2 at Boots.

Have used most of the more expensive brands listed but always been a bit disappointed - have some Boots points burning a hole in my pocket at the moment so might check out Dior.

Agree that any top coat helps as does leaving 5-10 minutes between coats.

Thank you so much for all the responses

Rimmel Super Gel is really good. You put on a colour then a "Gel" Top coat - it lasts a good week.

See I threw away my Rimmel Super Gel. It literally lasted less than a day on me and was a complete waste of time. I leave time between coats when I apply, use base and top coats. I haven't found anything that lasts anywhere near as long as other people. I am having a bit more success with the Maybelline system but even that is only two days max.

Sèche vite topcoat over any nail varnish is amazing although sounds like the OPI one might be similar technology.
Sèche vite does really dry quickly and hard and shiny so looks like a gel polish and lasts up to a week.

The Essie gel-style polishes are really good - I don't think you can tell the difference between those and proper gel polish if it's applied well.

Also really recommend Seche Vite top coat - it can be applied while the polish is still tacky, and it dries super-quick.

I recently been using semi cured gel nail stickers, mine last about 2 weeks till i need to change them for nail growth xx

Nailberry is the only one that works for me.

I find nailberry pretty good.

Agree with nailberry, painted my toes before my summer holiday and it lasted perfectly the whole two weeks, I use one coat of their nail elixir, then the polish, followed by their shine and breath top coat.

Honestly? Rimmel 60 Seconds or Sally Hanson Insta-Dry last the longest on me.

Boots No7 chips straightaway and I've never had much success with OPI.

Body chemistry will effect things as well, a nail polish that lasts for ages on someone else might chip after a couple of days on you.

My favourite brand that's easy to get hold of is Orly, they have loads of colours and their base coat and top coats are good. My other favourites are hard to get in the UK and shipping from the USA is expensive (although it's worth it for me.)
