Wellies!

I’m sick of having damp socks as my walking boots just aren’t waterproof enough any more to cope with the long wet grass. We also flood in winter and so I need wellies.

i went off them years ago when they either broke within a month (across the toes or on the ankle) or they had dangerously slippy soles. So please, hit me up with your recommendations for wellies which won’t split on me and will keep me on my feet even on muddy slopes.

Budget- as cheap as I can go while fulfilling the above criteria!

Dunlop.

But I'm also a big fan of sealskinz waterproof socks in walking boots as then it doesn't matter if they leak a bit.

Dunlop, without a doubt. £15 approx. Have outlasted so many pairs of expensive wellies and are still in perfect condition. Worn daily for a couple of hours for years

Thank you!

Definitely Dunlop. I have a horse so live in wellies in the winter. Dunlop last me around a year. IME expensive wellies do not last much longer but when they are £15ish you don't mind replacing. Much more painful when it's north of £100. Hunters are rubbish now and don't last as long as Dunlop.
