I think you need to be clever with your wording and not use advent in the name, look at some of the other listing using empty Liberty Box and you can see how people have got around it.

I missed who had the issue with the perfume, Vinted rules say it should be boxed so don’t mention you don’t have a box and similar if trying to sell sample size, use miniature.

Some of the things I have learnt from having posts declined, and if your post is declined and you chose to relist using different wording make sure you take new pictures.

It is clearly an AI driven platform so it’s trying to make sure you don’t use the words that will trigger.

I am happy with what’s in my DIY calendar: some GWP items, some tiny samples, mixed with things I have actually bought to put in it. However, for me, it’s not quite the same as having someone else do it for you.

I’m therefore pleased I got the Liberty a/c, which I have decided is my Christmas and birthday present to myself, (I have a Christmas birthday). I can’t wait to put it on display for Xmas - it’s so pretty!

All this talk of GlossyBox is making me second-guess my decision not to buy it, despite there being six DODs for me. It has some really good stuff and is such a pretty box. It’s a far, far better calendar for under £100 than M&S, imo.

However, I can’t have it, as I’ve too much stuff already!

I’ve also been a victim of my own success in creating a DIY calendar for my friend. I finished it ages ago, but appear to be halfway to creating one for Xmas 2026 with all the lovely non- perishable beauty items I have acquired for her since finishing calendar number one 🙀

My birthday is on on the 25th , so I think I might save my beauty edits , gwp and fill a box for my Badvent .
We could do a special episode , when the RHOBAC do Badvent.

Try selling it on eBay instead. There aren’t any fees on eBay now unless you pay to promote listings. I sold my two old Liberty calendars really quickly. And yku get your money as soon as the item is despatched and don’t have to wait ages like on Vinted

I think I need an advent for the run up to my birthday in Jan 🤣 I'd have to start it on the 2nd for it to finish on my birthday, unless I just let it finish the day before 🤔 My husband said 'thank f... for that' when I told him Frankenstein is finished, I can't wait to see his face when I tell him about BAdvent / JAdvent 🤣

@IlovePond I also keep looking at Glossybox - there's enough in there I want that justifies the cost of the calendar, but there's also a lot I don't want and I'm trying not to have a huge stash - it actually just stresses me out a bit when I have loads of stuff I'm meh about, I'm not the most organised at reselling either. I think if I knew what the commodity milk smelled like that would swing it. I had a sample of commodity book and that smelt disgusting on me, a bit like germolene, so not exactly enticing 😂So far I've bought the Harrod's BAC which I'm excited about opening, plus I shoved all the hbeauty gifts I got in there, so it's not as if I won't have anything to open in December.

Oh now this is a good idea. Ive never thought of doing this 🤣

Miss Boux has an unboxing of the M&S advent. It is definitely not for me.

Because I’ve gone a bit crazy with my purchases this year, I’ve decided that I’m going to use one BAC (mixed box) as either Jadvent or Badvent (February birthday)

The downside to taking out the items I don’t want and selling them off early, and keeping one BAC for the new year, is that I’ll miss out on the advent opening threads. Last year I sold things off at the end of December so I still had the BAC in tact (with the exception of maybe 3 swaps).

Have you tried Vanilla Powder? To me they have similarities. Commodity Milk, whilst not the same scent exactly has that same powdery, lactonic, musky vibe.

I'm really drawn to that sort of profile which I would describe as sweet/creamy/vanilla but with an underlying sharpness/tang? If you know you don't like that then it's probably not for you.

This is why I kept Harrods in tact, also because it felt too lovely to mess with. However I will be on waifs and strays too with my very much altered SNK.

I'll give it a watch later 😊 I think I'll get the m&s one if I do buy anything from there to meet the £35 min spend. I currently have no plans to do so though. There's quite a few things I wouldn't mind trying and I still think it's good value even with the price increase.

@OvaHere Actually with you mentioning Harrods, now I come to think of it there’s only 1 or 2 items that I’ve taken out of that one, it was mainly the SNK & JL BAC, so I could just make sure I don’t take anything else out of Harrods and keep that as my main (replacing the couple of items).
I’d also forgotten about the waifs and strays thread!

Sounds like we're going to be in the same threads 🤣 I have slightly altered my harrods one. I've replaced the rodial blush drops with the merit blush from sephora ac (I think) and the mac lipstick with the nude from LF, but I just won't post on those days 😇 I've also put everything back in its original drawer.

Not sure i fancy anything from the CB edits. The supreme skin edit looks good, but dont think ill go for it. Im making a wishlist on SNK for bits i fancy if theres good deals in Nov.

I have very thick hair and a lot of the hair products are for hair thickening so definitely not for me. It is very hair care and body care heavy this year.
I am trying to be good but I did buy the Zelens power D serum that is in the Look Fantastic beauty vault from Vinted last night. I managed to get it for £8 so couldn’t not get it, even though I now have a huge stash of serums!

I haven’t tampered too much with my Harrods advent either. I sold the red lipstick and replaced with the sheer one from the Liberty calendar and also sold the setting powder as I still have one from a calendar a few years back and I rarely use it. I did move the Valmont cream into day 25 though.

I’m hoping my Harvey Nichols BAC & FC arrive tomorrow so I can decide what to keep/gift and what to sell. I want everything sorted by the end of the week so I can focus on other things - it’s taking over my life, and my living room! 😅

I moved the valmont to day 25 too but I've moved it back since. I don't feel like they gave much thought to the order of the calendar, just bunged it all in where ever 🤣

Everything I want to sell on vinted is all over my living room 🙈 I need to just get it listed, get it sold or take to the charity shop and then delete vinted so I can stop purchasing stuff... Maybe after spacenk fragrance calendar has been released though 😇🤣

And me! I’ve taken a couple of bits out of my Liberty calendar and added all the things from the HN calendar that I wanted to keep. Some of the drawers will be bursting ! 😆😆
