Quick question re. M&S sizing

Need to buy a jacket/blazer online now but sizing is XS, S…, etc. I’m an 8 and not sure whether I should get S or XS. Size guide doesn’t help much but looks like I should get a S, but I usually find M&S sizing quite big. Any advice please? I’m trying to avoid getting it wrong so I don’t have to go through the rigmarole of returning! Thank you x

Are there any reviews? They usually give some indication of whether it runs big or small (there are often helpful comments such as “I’m a size 12 and the M fits really well”, etc).

It’s hard to say - I’m an 8 and wear XS in H&M and Mango but I tried a XS jacket in M&S and it was definitely snug around the shoulders, the S fitted better, but I guess it’s down to individual shape.

M&S are all over the place witg their sizings. This Spring (same shopping occasion) I bought a medium sized sweater which fits me perfectly. I also exchanged a medium sized cardie for a small one and it's still swamps me.

Depends on the style. A lot are very roomy now.

Before the oversized thing got going I couldn’t buy a standard denim jacket due to my bust but these days all fine. Bust is relevant too with a jacket.

I’m a pretty standard size 10 (with large bust) and would order a Small.
