Better foundation or primer?

Hi,
I have combination skin (oily around nose, dry in places) and I'm 49 so have some wrinkles and dark circles under eyes. I'm currently using Georgio Armani Luminous silk foundation but it just seems to slide right off. I think I need something with more coverage or a good primer. Any suggestions? I also have a touch of rosacea (slightly red on cheeks). I like a natural look but at the moment it's all disappeared an hour after I applied it!
Thanks.

I use Dr jaht tiger grass, bit pricey but you only need a dab and a little pot lasts 5 months plus. Then Elf primer, the green one, about £8. Both act as a very good anti red base. Hope that helps!

I also have combination skin, oily around my T zone especially. I use Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. It’s medium coverage and buildable, technically not a foundation but can be used as one. I like the dewy natural look and it’s perfect for that. Still looks great after a 12 hour shift.

Doublewear Sheer stays put.

I just started using milk hydro grip primer. It’s amazing!!! You smooth on two pumps and leave for a minute then base on top. My skin has never looked so good and lasts all day

Thanks a mill everyone. I'll try some of your suggestions and see what works for me.
