14yo eyebrow threading

My 14yo DD has never plucked her eyebrows and wants to start. I thought perhaps the best thing to do would be to go to a professional threading place so that they can do a really good shape and then she can maintain that by plucking.

Is this a good idea? Any tips in terms of eyebrow threading - how do you choose what the shape will be? As you can tell I've never done this myself - just hacked away randomly with tweezers when I was a teenager! Just dont them to do a bad job and she hates them...

Threading is really painful. I'd find somewhere that does waxing instead.

Definitely threading. I had my eyebrows burnt by hot wax. Yes, it stings but the shape is so much better after threading.

Just find a highly rated brow bar near you. Most brow stylists do a range of methods so they may start with wax and finish off with threading. Just check that they practice good hygiene and aftercare advice etc.

Get some aloe vera gel in.

Threading is better IMO. More control over the shape too. I second finding a good brow bar with loads of reviews. And please please don’t let her get them too thin. I know bushy is the fashion now (thank god) but I remember I started at that age, I am horrified looking back at how thin they were back then. But the moral of that story isn’t how it looked, it’s how they are now - patchy, thin in some parts and not in others, I have to fill them in and draw in some patches all as a result of over-grooming when I was younger

Yes i dont want her to get them too thin. Just difficult to know where to go as reviews cant really be trusted imo as people want different things! Is it normal at a threading place for them to show you an outline of what it will look like?
