What to wear to Strictly arena tour?

I've bought tickets for January next year and haven't been before. Any advice about how dressy to go as it is just watching a concert, after all? I'm mid 40s and will have an 8 year old with me so no massive heels etc. Size 12/14 and short of leg, but ample of boob. Would love some suggestions of outfits, please. I tend to 'run hot'. I'm very excited and it's hard to keep it a surprise for my little one. 😆

Literally whatever you want. It is not a ‘dress code’ event!

Jeans and a nice top.

I've lost my way with jeans recently. I wear wide leg with trainers or sandals in the summer, but haven't really got any winter jeans. Any suggestions? I'd need high waisted and short length.

What would you wear to go out for a night in a pub? And I mean an ordinary, local pub.

Other than things like Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, the New Year's Gala concert in Vienna people don't really wear anything other than ordinary clothes to go to concerts.

I've been to the tour a couple of times with my daughter. There's no particular dress code so wear what you want. But there's always lots of people especially kids wearing something with sequins! Hope you both have a lovely time.

Probably leather trousers and a silky blouse for a local pub. People tend to dress up in my area. I was originally thinking about a knitted dress, but jeans/trousers and a silky blouse might feel more comfortable.

Whatever you like!
You'll be sitting in the dark, anyway.

TakeMe2Insanity · 05/10/2025 15:42

If I went I’d use it as my opportunity to wear sequins and sparkles!

See, that was my line of thought that people might dress up.

Thanks, gang!

You won’t feel out of place whatever you choose to wear, but it’s definitely a good excuse to wear sparkles! I wore a silver top this year - it was definitely a Strictly and New Years Eve only type of blouse🤣

LarryIsMyRomanEmpire · 05/10/2025 16:06

I used to go every year, jeans and a nice top suffices but honestly, just wear whatever you are comfortable in, no one cares.

Elsbetka · 05/10/2025 18:33

I've been a couple of times and there's always a LOT of sequins! I'm not a sequin fan and have never felt out of place in whatever I was wearing though (can't remember what that was but it wasn't very formal).

Hollieandtheivie · 06/10/2025 14:33

I've seen a few knitted midi dresses that have caught my eye. Thin knits with pleats and metalic thread (Missoni inspired). I might go for one of those. I think that would be more comfortable than jeans. Very excited! We're travelling to see it, and then staying in a hotel so it's more of an 'event' or treat in my eyes than usual.
