i don’t do anything for skincare. I’m now 40 and think I need to start using some sort of anti aging product.
if you had £50 to spend, what would you buy?

The ordinary Retinal (not retinol). Start once a week, moisturise over the top, and work up to twice a week.
A peptide -Geek&Gorgeous 101 power peptide is nice.
The ordinary natural moisturising factors +Photoceramides is a fab moisturiser for £20.

I’m assuming you already use an additional SPF for the face though, if not you really do need to add one. A face cream with spf really isn’t effective enough.

I'd buy something I knew I could afford to keep buying as consistency is key.

I think my entire skincare routine costs £50. Personally I think being consistent and doing it day in and day out is more important than buying expensive products. The things that have made the biggest difference to my skin are vitamin c and an acid toner every other night (plus using spf every day of course.)

I just added the products I buy to Amazon and it is saying £54 for everything.

Morning:

Cleanse with Simple micellar water

Garnier Vitamin C serum

Loreal Revitalift SPF fluid

Evening:

First cleanse with Simple micellar water

Second cleanse with Simple age resist cleanser

Wipe a toner over face with a cotton pad (use Balance Active glycolic toner and Loreal Hyaluronic one on alternate nights so I'm not overdoing the acids.)

Nivea Bakuchiol serum (natural retinol alternative)

Neutrogena hydro boost moisturiser

It sounds more faffy than it is but the entire routine probably takes 5 minutes out of my day at the most.

A good SPF 50!
