IPL model advice

I've decided to get an IPL and think I am going to try and wait till Black Friday in case there are good deals then.
It doesn't seem like it makes much difference whether you get the Braun or the Philips Lumea. The Lumea 7000 is cheaper than the 9000 as it is an older model. For those who have a Lumea and say it works really well, which model is it? I am assuming quite a few people who say IPL has worked and have done it for a few years can't be using the 9000 as the model is newer?

I can't remember what model my Lumea is but it must be at least 6 or 7 years old and it is one of my best buys. I would assume anything brought out in the last few years will be just as good, if not better. I can't comment on any other brands but I know Lumea has a lot of positive recommendations on here.

It does depend on your colouring, I've got dark hair and pale skin which is recommended for best results, although possibly that's changed in the last few years and that's what the newer models tackle?

I have pale skin and dark hair so colourwise it should work. It does seem like the newer models are more suitable for darker skin and also says they take 8 minutes instead of 15min for the 7000 to treat your legs

I bought a braun in a black Friday deal about 3 years ago for £150, and it's the best thing I have ever bought on black Friday, it's sorted my chin hair, my underarms, my toe hair and my legs, and I wasn't that hairy a yeti as i sound

I had a Lumea. If you let them run flat, they can never charge again. That was a waste of money. They may have fixed this flaw in more recent models.

I now have a Braun one. Much more effective and doesn't have the same issue as the Lumea I had.
