NYC work trip - packing help!

What would you take for three days of meeting/wining and dining creative clients?

The weather there has gone up to 27 degrees!

I’m petite and slim and want to look effortless but also put together.

the outfits need to transition well from morning meetings through to lunch and socialising.

Please please help with ideas for layering outfits, comfy (yet not flat) shoes, and the ideal jacket/coat. I have a trench, a light Whistles leather jacket (waterfall style though), and a black linen blazer. I also have some nice, semi structured v-neck blouse tops in rust and black - but what trousers to wear them with??

Thanks!

My friend is high level corporate in US, and is always wining and dining in New York.

She always looks very put together, Jaeger type dresses and jumpsuits, nothing flash, but classy. But she often goes with a very cool, bold pair of trainers. She says it's the thing now, because everyone's moving between meetings etc.

I don't know if this is the norm now, so might need others to chip in? But it's a great look, especially if you're creative sector (which she isn't)

My daughter works a lot in NY. Partner of a law firm. Very smart. She wears wide trousers with a camisole under a shirt, take one that you have and a sharp white one. A loose cardigan can either go over the shirt or swapped. Wide silk palazzo pants are nice as are wide suit style trousers. Capri pants are very useful, you can wear similar tops or a fifties style jumper. One dress might be handy, have a look at Saint and Sophia, the new in collection has some sleeveless and short sleeves. The trench and or blazer will look super, the waterfall leather perhaps too warm. Kitten heel shoes and ballet pumps work nicely. Think Audrey Hepburn.

Why do you want to wear heels? I thought Bew Yorkers were all about wearing sneakers as they walk so much.
regarding trousers; I’d do black trousers (as that goes either everything and is stylish) in whichever style suits you. Do you like wearing palazzo style trousers? Or a more fitted chino style? You could bring one of each to have different looks
