Need a recommendation for foundation. Haven't bought any for years as using up all my old stuff.

I've completely overwhelmed at all the choice. 50 years old.

What’s your skin like - oily, dry?

Dry because of using tret.

I like Clinique even better glow for medium coverage or origins vita zing for tinted moisturiser type glow. Both £25 ish I think

Maybelline dream radiant liquid
has collagen and hydryalonic acid
it’s light coverage and very moisturising

Are you using sunscreen, OP?

My top favs are YSL touché eclat, Armani luminous silk and Estée Lauder double wear!

i have just bought the Laura Mercier Real Flawless foundation. The colour match is perfect. It glides on, doesn’t sink in and lasts for hours. My quest is over.

I’m enjoying ysl glow foundation / im 56 not too drying or cakey ! Also like eborian cc cream in dore

Double wear used to be my go to, its looks dry and caked on now.

I’ve just come on to recommend the Laura Mercier flawless foundation too. It is gorgeous and the colour match is perfect. I used their online tool and matched with my other shades and what I thought would be right.

No I did it online by inputting the best colour matched foundation I already have but if you have a space nk or John Lewis nearby I’d post in to try.

Erborian BB cream, lighter than foundation (I’m in my 50s too and heavier foundation is starting to look too much)

I like Lisa Elridge, without spf, about 30 quid I think. I've dry pale discoloured/patchy skin and it goes on a treat, no fuss.
