What eternity ring should I get?

This year, it's both a big birthday and a big wedding anniversary, and DH has been "persuaded" that an eternity ring to add to my engagement and wedding ring would be a suitable gift! But I'm not sure what to get. Photo attached with current rings - they're very narrow white gold bands and the engagement ring is a sapphire flanked by two diamonds. I'm thinking a fairly narrow white gold diamond eternity ring that would sit under the engagement ring similar to the wedding band? But I think it would need to be wider than the other two bands so not sure if it would look a bit odd? Any other suggestions / ideas much appreciated. Other option would be to get a separate ring on my other hand, but think I prefer the idea of stacking...

I think the band would need to be the same width as it would look a bit odd otherwise. I think it would look nicer on a separate finger as you would lose the impact of your engagement ring and can make even the longest of fingers look a bit stubby! A full sapphire eternity ring would look lovely on a separate finger and tie in with your engagement ring.

I married in the early 90s when yellow gold was still popular. I also have petite fingers (ring size i) so don't think I suit big rings. DH chose my engagement (which is similar to yours) and eternity rings. My wedding ring is a 18ct plain slim band. I received the eternity one on our silver anniversary a few years ago.

@Complet yes, I definitely don't want to make my fingers look even stubbier than they already are (I have to wear kids' gloves!). I hadn't thought of a sapphire eternity ring, but that's a lovely idea.

I wouldn’t worry about what you already have. Personally I’d go for a plain eternity ring with baguette cut stones.

Scatter eternity rings can be lovely - I am at work so don’t have mine. But I have pink and green sapphires - my birth stone and diamonds scattered in a band. Mine are all the same size, but are in teardrop shaped settings.
