Need a practical gym back/backpack. Help please!

I have a very impractical gym bag that is uncomfortable to carry and doesn’t seem to actually carry much (despite its size). I am ready for an upgrade, am also considering backpacks. Does anyone have a brand to recommend? I was thinking something northface-ish style.
I normally carry: trainers, bottle of water, change of clothes, small toiletry bag, a towel, flip flops.
Would like to stay within the £70-£80 max ideally but can be persuaded to spend more if I find the dream bag I can also use for other purposes.

Would you be using the bag all day or just to go to the gym?
Could you travel to the gym in your clothes, and change into gym clothes when you get there?

@UpMyself no as I have another bag for work and it would be too heavy with laptop etc. i don’t go straight from work to gym.
i can but i like showering there so would still wear some clean clothes at the end

Thanks. I thought you might be going straight from work. It's hard to gauge how much room you'd need for the change of clothes.

I have a holdall, but prefer using a backpack. I like Eastpak, but they aren't huge. Buy Eastpak Mens Day Pak'r Backpack Cobble Grey. I have more than one, and not grey from that retailer. I find them comfortable to carry.
