What item of clothing (if any) do you always default back to?

Mine’s jeans. Even when I get a job and think oh hey, a chance to wear some lovely clothes like cords, skirts, dresses… I end up going back to jeans. I’ll probably specify that my corpse wears them when they send me off. I just find them so versatile and can be made appropriate for almost any occasion.

Do you have a default item of clothing?

Same, jeans. I've got some lovely clothes but all I want to do at the weekend is wear my jeans and a nice sweatshirt.

I’ve got a black jumper dress from New Look (fitted, midi length, long sleeve, ribbed) that is on paper a size 10 but fits me whatever size I am and always looks great.

I’m wearing it right now.

It’s warm and cosy for a Sunday night on the sofa but with boots and a jacket takes me out for a drink, shopping, cinema, even been to work a few times.

I must have had it for five years. I love it and thank the clothes gods that it seems to be indestructible.

I’m a dress girl at heart - they are so easy and versatile and require no thought about what to wear with it.
I’m often in a dress, summer and winter, layer up in the winter with tights and thermal top underneath or a sweatshirt/jumper over the top, boots or trainers or shoes.
Dresses for the win!

Got loads of coats but none of them measure up to my black pure new wool pea coat from Bhs circa 2004

A very well worn pair of blue jogging bottoms by LNDR - they are indestructible!

Snap! Jeans for me too. In the summer I live in dresses but in the winter I always seemed to revert to jeans until last year when I was fed up wearing them all the time and I bought some jumpsuits on Vinted; so last winter I wore jumpsuits literally all the time and loved them. Until ... I bought some palazzo jeans from M&S that are amazing. So this winter, it'll be jeans again with a jumpsuit on occasions!
