Shapewear shorts that don’t come too high on the waist?

I’m wearing a jumpsuit to a formal event. It has a trousers and is sort of backless- a bit like a pinafore/dungarees, but fitted. I could do with a bit of thigh smoothing underneath the trousers as they are a bit unforgiving and need some Shapewear shorts. The waist of the trousers is high enough to come to my natural waist, but all the Shapewear shorts I can find come quite high around the middle and will show above the waistband at the back so I’m looking for something that comes more to below belly button level. I don’t really need my tummy flattening as it’s fairly flat already. Does such a thing exist? Google is getting me nowhere other than low back Shapewear from skims which goes to a v at the back so would show around the sides. Anyone know of anything?

I had the same issue with high-waist shapewear showing above dress/jumpsuit waistlines. What worked for me were mid-rise smoothing shorts, basically shapewear that stops below the belly button. They give light thigh smoothing without the super-high waistband. Brands call them “mid-waist shaping shorts” or “low-rise smoothing shorts,” so try searching for those terms.
If you’re open to alternatives, I also found that built-in shapewear dresses avoid the whole waistband problem completely. This explains how they work really well:
