I've already bought what I want from the CB BAC from vinted so it's no good for me, but I thought I'd share another example as I don't think that screenshot has uploaded well. Remember to use code AFFADVENT

QVC have a really good Christmas beauty bag offering for £75.
It includes a Murad product, Laura Mercier eyeshadow stick, Perricone moisturiser , NEOM candle amongst other bits.
If I didn’t have my 2 BACs, I’d definitely consider getting it.

Surprised that CB and Sephora are still in stock to be honest, I thought that one of them might go once Space sold out. I don’t think that there’s enough in CB to make me want to purchase it, even with a discount.

On the other hand, I ordered JL which arrived yesterday and I’m really happy with it. I might even like it better than my Liberty calendar. From the ones I sniffed, I prefer the fragrances in JL, and it has lots of double and triple doors which makes it feel more generous. I thought that I might sell some of the products, but actually I think that there’s only one or two things that I won’t use!

What are people's views on the korres advent calendar? And do you think the Holland & Barrett one will come back in stock? I've been too indecisive this year...😕

@Loulouli. I love Korres products and I couldn’t resist the advent calendar. It was by far my first choice of the lower priced calendars. The box isn’t particularly sturdy, and mine was a bit damaged when it arrived, but not bad enough to bother returning it.

The CB glitch is pretty good. Still don't want to buy it though which is progress for me.

I’ve only purchased Liberty this year, not been tempted by any of the rest but this one looks lovely albeit lacking a bit of detail on the contents

I ordered the teddy calendar on Sunday and it arrived yesterday. 🌸

I also prefer GB contents to OK. To me it has more interesting products, like the SPF setting spray (like the idea of a spf that I can put over makeup), the deodorant balm, the read diffuser, plus things that I’ve tried before and like, like the EH cleansing balm, and the iconic London mascara which is the only one I’ve used which doesn’t smudge.

OK has too many DoDs for me - eyelashes, eyepatches, Espa, setting powder, AA oil (it’s nice but I have stacks of them!), orange lipstick, brow product, highlight stick, 2 nail polishes, sheet mask - none of these things appeal to me.

As you say, it’s down to personal preference though, and it really depends on what you’re looking for a calendar.

That looks lovely, although not tried any of their products. Is it in a similar vein to Verden?

I’m the same….I have no patience for procrastination when it comes to things like this. If I want it as a gift I do it myself. I’ve got the best presents ever from myself 😂

My husband is quite well trained with advent calendars now. The first time I ever knew beauty calendars existed was when he bought me the Jo Malone calendar five years ago, and the rest is history 😆. I’m not sure I would trust him to be quick enough to buy the Harrods fragrance calendar, but he was told several weeks ago to buy F&M for me this year, and I’m assuming he has. But he woukd be horrified if he knew how much I’ve got stashed away for this year!

Is that the teddy chocolate one? If so, that's what I'm waiting on 😕 I also bought some guerlain face powder and a night cream which were both reduced and then I got a further 10% off. I'm not sure if it's them that's holding it up, but I remember that they sent out a free creed fragrance sample to someone on it's own before they then sent the AC so it seems strange that nothing in both of my orders on Saturday and Sunday has been sent yet 🥺

I'm sometimes tempted to wrap them myself too, then write a tag 'to me, from me' 🤣 I have started buying myself a nice roll of wrapping paper for my presents, my husband kept coming to me on christmas eve for gift wrap so mine ended up getting wrapped up in scraps that was left over, which was usually the paper I liked the least as I'd used my favourites first.

@OvaHere I'm proud of us for resisting 🤣 although part of that for me is that I've already bought half of it on vinted 🤣
@Growlybear83 how much do you have stashed away? I can't get away with any secret ACs, the house is too small and we have a ring doorbell. He's seen all the vinted parcels arrive for the Frankenstein calendar.
@MidnightMeltdown I wonder if they'll still be around after the weekend 🤔 I'm expecting liberty to sell out soon too. JL seems to be a favourite this year too. I'm interested to see which one will be next. SNK and harrods were my favourites so to me it's not a surprise that they went first.

This happened to me last year. I really wanted Harrods and DH agreed that could be my Christmas present. He didn’t even need to order it, just send me the money. He left it so long that it had sold out by the time I had got fed up of waiting and decided to just pay for it myself. I was not a happy bunny; especially as he always says he didn’t know what to get me so I end up with a load of random stuff.
I ended up later purchasing SNK & JL.

This year I got Harrods straight away, followed by SNK, and now JL which has been delivered today - Merry Christmas to me! 😁

I love the idea of inviting some BAC haters onto our show. I’ll do fake cheek kisses on them wearing red lipstick and a layer of lip gloss, then spray them with whichever hot fragrance is on offer that year 🤣

@JoRaRaRa. I’m a bit embarrassed really! I’ve bought Liberty, harrods fragrance, PdM and korres. But I’ve also remembered that I’ve got last year’s L’artisan larfumeur stashed away, as well as the recent Selfridges perfume edit (which is my birthday present to myself in early December) and I’ve ordered the flannels cracker 😬. My husband has bought me F&M for my birthday and Xmas present. But I keep telling myself that 12 day calendars (which will include PDM even though it’s only seven days) don’t count.

The CB code is working for me too - such a shame that I really really don’t like their calendar!

My next Liberty BD voucher will come in about a week. IF the Liberty a/c is still around then, I’ll probably buy as I will have £60 credit towards it and could cancel my subscription if I wanted to.

My JL BAC has arrived and it is magnificent 🩷

@JoRaRaRa Liberty I think is hard to call. I think they have an older customer base than Sephora and Cult Beauty (particularly judging by the reviews and the number of people who have bought it for their daughters and daughter-in-laws!), which makes me think that it might not sell out as quickly, but it’s hard to tell. Would love to know how many they make. I doubt that the department stores make as many calendars as Space NK/CB/Sephora.

I hope you manage to capture a photo of them all together 😍 I agree, 12 day ones don't count really, and the PDM is numbered 25, 26, 27 etc, so that one definitely doesn't count 😉 Saying that though, my husband keeps saying to me that I can't open my harrods fragrance until Christmas, but the numbers start at 1, soooo 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's out of my hands really 🤣 Is it the Flannels fragrance calendar that you've bought? I keep looking at one for me and also getting my husband the gents one for Christmas.

Has anyone seen any men’s beauty advent calendars? Years ago there was a few but this year Clarins aren’t even doing one. Liberty is out of the budget. I was thinking the £50-70 mark for a 12 day one.

@Growlybear83 12 day calendars definitely don’t count in your advent total. I bought Harrods fragrance and Harrods Hair and Body and am not counting them. Especially as I’ve already opened them both! I took the sunscreen from Harrods Hair and Body on holiday with me (which was my excuse for buying it in the first place!) 😂.

M&S also doesn’t count as that’s a ‘gift with purchase’ (in my head anyway 🤣).
