Dyson Airwrap?

Considering splashing out on a Dyson Aiwrap - if it’s as good as I’ve heard I can justify the cost, but I don’t want to waste my money if it’s not!

Hair is long, with a bit of natural wave, photo attached.

What does the MN hive mind think?

What do you want to achieve with it?

I’ve got one and it does loose waves ok if I use it on dry hair. On wet it gives a great volume bouncy blow dry.

What it does NOT do is curls. It might look like a curl but practically by the time you’ve put the thing away, it’s dropped to waves 🤣

I say this all the time on these threads - look on CEx and get a second hand one. Mine was £200 and some of the attachments were still in their wrappings. There’s a reason so many are re-sold…

(And no, the Shark version is no better. I’ve got both.)

I was wondering the same thing. I have shoulder length hair. I also wondered if a cheaper alternative is anywhere near as good?

Thanks, I think bouncy waves are what I’m after, it can look completely straight, but the long layers have helped keep the waves I can get with blow drying / a wand

My wand gives much better results tbh. I wouldn’t buy it again.

I got one a couple of Christmases ago and barely use it. The curls do not stay in, drop out within an hour no matter what I do. It’s useful as a heated brush for drying hair after washing but I wouldn’t spend my own money on it if you see what I mean x

Total waste of money as the curls / waves drop out by the time you go out the front door, no matter how hard styling products I use.
